The Walled Garden Tours

Every Summer we open our garden to groups that love flowers and history. We are on the site of Warden Abbey the Cistercian Monastery here in Old Warden, which was founded in 1135. As we walk the garden you will hear tales of the monks, how they lived, worked and worshipped here. We show you where and how we grow the flowers and talk of the passion Rachel and Matt have for them followed by afternoon tea in the garden or our cosy Shepherds Hut. We welcome gardening groups, The Women’s Institure, The Inner Wheel and recently hosted The Biggleswade Flower Club. It is always an entertaining and fun afternoon and something we really enjoy. The minimum number for a garden tour experience is 8 attendees and we charge £25 per person which includes tea, homemade cake and a posy of flowers to take home with you. If you would like to join us this Summer just fill in the form below, we look forward to welcoming you!

Rachel & Matt

  • A group of people standing outdoors on a grassy area, posing for a photo. There is a sign in front of them that reads "Welcome to The Gamlingsay District Gardening Club!!! The Walled Garden Flower Farm." Behind them, there are buildings with red tile roofs, including a barn or shed, and some plants and flowers in pots and garden beds. The sky is cloudy.

A lovely visit from the Gamlingay & District Gardening Club last year.

  • A garden with various flowers and plants, a greenhouse on the right, a person tending to the garden, brick and wooden buildings with red-tiled roofs, under a partly cloudy blue sky.
